Objective
As Site Director, you are responsible for overseeing production operations for a third party manufacturing facility in Wisconsin. You will be based in Charlotte, and during the initial period will be required to travel to our Global Headquartes located in Bolzano, Italy.You will ensure efficient and successful management of the plant where components for charging stations are manufactured. In your position, you are responsible for achieving the production targets defined by the company management. Your main task is to optimize and stabilize production processes, ensure that quality standards are met, and that production output is achieved. Ensuring cleanliness and order throughout the entire production site is also part of the Site Director's responsibilities.

These include, for example, the efficient use of energy, the reduction of waste and hazardous substances, the control and reduction of CO2 emissions, and the minimization of emissions into the environment.

Main Responsibilities
- You ensure that the set production targets in terms of output, quality, adherence to delivery dates, and manufacturing costs are achieved.
- Procurement: You ensure material availability in the plant through the operational purchasers assigned to you in the matrix.
- Intralogistics: You manage the intralogistics managers assigned to you in the matrix to achieve the specified inventory ranges and ensure that the right material is available at the right time and in the right place, and you ensure a smooth supply of replenishments through Kanban and supermarket control loops.
- Product quality: You ensure compliance with quality standards in production. This includes implementing quality control measures, regularly monitoring production processes, and working with other departments to make improvements. If problems arise, you ensure that production is stopped immediately and corrective measures are taken. You prevent production errors by taking appropriate measures such as pFMEA, Poka Yoke, etc.
- Lean management: You introduce a lean management philosophy and ensure a pull and one-piece flow strategy, thereby minimizing waste (TIMWOOD), ensuring continuously decreasing throughput times, increasing output figures, and improving adherence to delivery dates.
- Process Engineering: They manage the process engineers and manufacturing engineering specialists assigned to them in the matrix to ensure that optimal manufacturing equipment is installed and in operation in the right quality and quantity, thereby optimizing preventive maintenance, production support, and OEE.
- You take on new products and manufacturing steps from NPI production using defined checklists and milestones.
- Personnel management: You lead and motivate a team of employees working in production in a disciplinary manner. You ensure that sufficient qualified personnel are available and provide appropriate training and development for employees. You manage the support functions assigned to you in the matrix, such as intralogistics, manufacturing engineering, procurement, process planning, and production scheduling.
- Employee training: You determine training needs and ensure that employees receive training tailored to their requirements.
- Budget and resource management: You are responsible for the efficient use of resources and ensure that the production budget is adhered to. You analyze production costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
- Technological development/continuous improvement: You strive to continuously improve and develop production processes in terms of electromechanics and assembly technologies (e.g., automation).
- Analysis, preparation, and support of make-or-buy decisions
- Compliance with safety and environmental standards: You ensure that all safety regulations and environmental standards are complied with. You implement safety measures and train employees in safety awareness and environmental protection; you ensure that workplaces are ergonomic
- Develop, coordinate, and implement strategic site objectives in line with corporate objectives
- Analysis and decision preparation for equipment in cooperation with Process Engineering (new purchases, replacement purchases, repairs, etc.)
- Responsibility for maintenance and servicing
- Promotion of a positive working environment and close cooperation with the specialist departments; together with your employees, you live the company values
- Ensuring cleanliness and order throughout the entire production site
- Completed technical degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or similar fields
- Several years of experience in series production in the field of electromechanical systems/electronics or similar
- Knowledge of lean management and continuous improvement
- Several years of management experience and good communication skills
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Good knowledge of the relevant legal and regulatory requirements for the production environment
- Preferably six sigma qualifiation
- Extensive experience in managing industrial series production (electromechanical systems/electronics)
- In-depth technical understanding of production and assembly processes, technologies, systems, and automation technology
- In-depth experience in occupational safety and accident prevention
- In-depth experience in continuous improvement management (e.g., 7 types of waste, PDCA, Lean)
- Experience in setting up green- or brown field projects
- Confident use of ERP systems
- Proven leadership skills over several years
