The Human Resource Generalist is a strategic thinker that provides comprehensive Human Resources support and guidance to employees.
We are looking for a Human Resources Generalist & Recruiter to join our team. This position combines the best of both worlds—strategic HR support and full-cycle recruiting. You’ll be a key partner in maintaining HR operations, ensuring compliance, and attracting top talent to support our growing organization.
· New Hire Onboarding Process
· Uniform management
· Office administration duties – office supplies, other office ordering
· Management of all employee files
· Coordination of new hire training and ongoing training
· Human Resources Reports and Correspondence
· Research of legal claims including EEOC, FLSA, and DOL and partnering with the Legal Department
· May assist with Accommodation Request – FMLA, ADA, Religious and Service/Emotional Support Animal Accommodations
· First point of contact for HR - phone and HR email.
· Must be able to determine when a situation requires the direct manager’s input or upper management and reach out accordingly.
· Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
· Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
· Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
· Data entry into HRIS system.
· Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources and employment law.
· Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for all positions, with a focus on Class A CDL drivers.
· Create and post job advertisements; manage recruiting budgets and sources.
· Source, screen, and interview candidates while maintaining a strong candidate pipeline.
· Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and make recommendations.
· Promote the company’s employer brand through social media and community engagement.
· Maintain accurate candidate data in the applicant tracking system and track recruiting metrics.
· Ensure DOT and employment law compliance throughout the hiring process.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
· 1 year of HR recruiting experience; transportation or driver recruiting preferred.
Salary : $60,000 - $70,000
