Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Cable Associate to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for spooling, evaluating, repairing, testing, and maintaining electrical cables to ensure safe and efficient operation. This role requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, adaptability to operational changes and delivery targets, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cable Counting: Accurately count and document cable lengths while spooling.
- Inspection and Testing: Perform routine inspections and testing of cables to identify faults, damage, or wear using specialized tools and equipment.
- Cable Repair and Maintenance: Diagnose and repair damaged or faulty cables and connectors to restore functionality.
- Splicing and Termination: Conduct cable splicing and termination following proper procedures to ensure secure and reliable connections.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety standards, guidelines, and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports, cable layouts, and testing results.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve electrical cable issues using diagnostic tools and technical knowledge.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and calibrate tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Proven experience as an electrical cable technician or similar role; knowledge of low-voltage and high-voltage systems is a plus.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in cable spooling, counting, evaluation, splicing, and termination techniques.
- Experience using diagnostic tools such as multimeters, cable testers, and Hi-Pot testers.
- Knowledge of safety standards and best practices in electrical work.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and cables.
- Comfortable working on feet for long hours and in various conditions.

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
