The successful candidate will be responsible for spooling, evaluating, repairing, testing, and maintaining electrical cables to ensure safe and efficient operation. This role requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, adaptability to operational changes and delivery targets, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesCable Counting: Accurately count and document cable lengths while spoolingInspection and Testing: Perform routine inspections and testing of cables to identify faults, damage, or wear using specialized tools and equipment.Cable Repair and Maintenance: Diagnose and repair damaged or faulty cables, connectors to restore functionality.Splicing and Termination: Conduct cable splicing and termination following proper procedures and ensuring secure and reliable connections.Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety standards, guidelines, and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports, cable layouts, and testing results.Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve electrical cable issues using diagnostic tools and technical knowledge.Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and calibrate tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.Qualifications and SkillsHigh school diploma or GED required.Proven experience as an electrical cable technician or similar role.
