About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Expert Technical Lead to own and lead an enterprise Privacy Platform built on BigID. This is a highly visible role responsible for driving the technical strategy, architecture, and long-term success of the organization's privacy ecosystem.
The ideal candidate combines Product Owner capabilities with deep technical expertise, serving as the primary subject matter expert for privacy technologies while collaborating with Privacy, Security, Infrastructure, and Engineering teams.
What You'll Do
- Lead the technical strategy and roadmap for the BigID platform.
- Serve as the primary technical owner for BigID Core and Privacy Portal (SaaS).
- Design, configure, and support enterprise privacy solutions.
- Guide Operations & Maintenance teams on platform best practices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to implement privacy and compliance initiatives.
- Partner with vendors on escalations, roadmap planning, and architecture reviews.
- Support data discovery, classification, and governance initiatives.
- Work within an AWS environment to manage deployments and platform operations.
- Drive platform scalability, security, and operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 7 years of relevant experience (or 11 years without a degree).
- Strong hands-on experience with BigID or similar privacy/data discovery platforms.
- Experience implementing enterprise privacy solutions.
- Working knowledge of AWS services, deployments, IAM, networking, and security.
- Experience with structured data discovery and data classification.
- Knowledge of Oracle, SQL databases, SharePoint, and enterprise data repositories.
- Experience with API integrations and scripting.
- Strong stakeholder management and technical leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting enterprise privacy, governance, or compliance platforms.
- Familiarity with CCPA, GDPR, and data privacy frameworks.
- Experience working in hybrid cloud/on-premises environments.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
