Regional Sales Manager - Architectural Building Products - Base Salary to 190k/year - Atlanta, GA
- Our client is a leading manufacturer within the architectural building products industry, with a strong national presence and a specification-driven sales model supporting commercial construction projects across multiple vertical markets.
- They are seeking a Regional Sales Manager to lead sales performance across a multi-state Southern U.S. territory. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, strengthening specification activity, and improving execution across a network of independent manufacturers’ representative firms. This is a field-facing leadership role focused on managing indirect sales channels, developing rep performance, and executing regional sales strategies across commercial construction markets.
Responsibilities:
- Lead regional sales performance across a defined Southern U.S. territory, including revenue growth, specification activity, and market expansion
- Manage and develop a network of independent manufacturers’ representative firms (rep agencies), driving accountability for pipeline, specifications, and revenue results
- Evaluate rep firm performance and optimize regional coverage, including onboarding new agencies or restructuring territories as needed
- Develop and execute territory business plans focused on both maintaining existing accounts and driving new specification opportunities
- Drive specification activity with architects, designers, engineers, and consultants across commercial construction projects
- Establish consistent operating cadence with rep firms, including pipeline reviews, forecasting, and performance management
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts across quotes, backlog, and active project pipeline
- Partner with internal teams (marketing, product management, operations) to support go-to-market strategy and project execution
- Identify gaps in regional execution and implement process improvements to increase effectiveness and accountability
- Support development of rep capabilities, including training, coaching, and performance improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
- 10 years of sales experience within architectural building products, commercial construction products, or related industries
- Strong experience in specification-driven sales, working with architects, designers, engineers, and general contractors
- Proven experience managing independent manufacturers’ representative firms, rep agencies, or indirect/channel sales networks
- Demonstrated success driving revenue growth across a multi-state or regional territory
- Experience developing and executing territory sales strategies, forecasting, and pipeline management
- Hands-on experience using CRM systems (Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar) to track activity and drive accountability
- Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze sales performance and translate insights into action
- Experience coaching, developing, or improving performance across sales teams or rep networks
- Product experience in one or more of the following:
- Architectural wall systems
- Building envelope / exterior systems (rainscreen, cladding, façade)
- Glazing systems
- Specialty interior architectural products
- Experience supporting commercial construction projects such as healthcare, education, institutional, or large-scale commercial developments
Compensation:
- Base salary in the 170k - 190k/year range, plus bonus
