ASAP is hiring on behalf of our client for a Project Manager to support capital projects within a food manufacturing environment. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity supporting a large-scale production facility, with a focus on equipment upgrades, facility improvements, and plant operations projects.
This role is ideal for a hands-on Project Manager with experience leading projects in processing or manufacturing environments, particularly within food or beverage production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support development of pre-project approval documentation including project management plans, cost estimates, schedules, and change management plans
- Prepare stakeholder communication materials, including project updates and presentations for leadership teams
- Monitor design progress and ensure deliverables align with project scope, schedule, and budget
- Develop bid packages, lead bid events, and manage contract execution for design consultants and construction teams
- Oversee installation, construction, and commissioning activities for assigned projects
- Manage project scope and ensure proper documentation and approval of all changes
- Track and control project budgets, including cost forecasting and cash flow projections
- Maintain detailed project schedules and ensure milestones are achieved
- Provide on-site construction management support and assist with plant startup activities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5–10 years of project management experience (open to strong candidates with 3–5 years)
- Experience in food manufacturing required; processing environment experience preferred
- Proven ability to manage capital projects within a plant or production setting
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams
- Self-starter with strong leadership and problem-solving abilities
