About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Technician to support industrial construction projects from installation through final turnover. This position will be responsible for conducting field inspections, maintaining quality records, and working with project teams to ensure materials, equipment, welding, piping, structural steel, and mechanical installations meet project specifications, applicable codes, and customer expectations.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct field quality inspections of piping, welding, structural steel, mechanical systems, and equipment installations.

• Review drawings, specifications, ITPs, and quality procedures to establish inspection requirements.

• Verify incoming materials, equipment, and components meet project requirements and maintain proper traceability.

• Prepare inspection reports, quality records, turnover documentation, and other required project files.

• Identify deficiencies and nonconforming work and assist with corrective and preventative actions.

• Support hydrostatic and pressure testing, welding inspections, and other testing and verification activities.

• Participate in customer, third-party, and internal inspections, audits, and quality meetings.

• Maintain accurate and organized documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

• Work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, field crews, subcontractors, and customers to address quality concerns.

• Contribute to a strong culture of safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Experience in QA/QC, industrial construction, fabrication, mechanical, piping, or a related inspection role.

• Experience with industrial construction, welding, piping, structural steel, or mechanical installations preferred.

• Ability to read and understand construction drawings, piping isometrics, specifications, and technical documentation.

• Experience preparing inspection documentation, quality reports, and turnover packages.

• Industrial experience within refinery, power generation, chemical, manufacturing, or other heavy industrial environments is preferred.

• Strong understanding of construction quality practices and field inspection processes.

• Excellent attention to detail, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic documentation platforms.

• Ability to work independently while effectively coordinating with field and project teams.

Education & Certifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Technical, vocational, or associate-level education in a related discipline preferred.

• CWI certification preferred.

• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Construction certification preferred.

• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required.
