Occupational Therapist (OT)

Required Skills

• Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license in the state of practice
• At least 1 year of professional OT experience (preferred)
• Strong understanding of school-based therapy practices and IEP processes
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to follow all relevant professional standards and comply with legal employment requirements
  
  

Nice To Have Skills

• Experience working with K-12 students in a school setting
• Bilingual abilities or additional language skills
• Advanced training in sensory integration or other specialized therapy techniques
  
  

Preferred Education And Experience

• Degree in Occupational Therapy (e.g., Master’s or Doctorate)
• Prior experience in educational or pediatric environments
  
  

Other Requirements

• Current CPR certification
• TB screening (questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray)
• Current health certificate, per state or contract requirements
• Willingness to work in the Kent, WA school district starting 8/26/2026
