Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Occupational Health Nurse located in Indianapolis, IN. The Occupational Health Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality care to employees, including workplace injury assessment and treatment, health evaluations, implementing health and safety programs, and offering training to ensure workplace wellness. Additional responsibilities include evaluating workplace hazards, providing medical advice for return-to-work plans, and engaging in effective communication with employees and employers to support health and safety objectives.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Occupational Health Nursing and hands-on experience in occupational health environments
- Strong background in Nursing and a comprehensive understanding of clinical practices
- Knowledge of workplace medicine and its application to injury prevention and management
- Experience in providing health education and conducting staff training on workplace safety and wellness initiatives
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with employees and employers
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) is required
- Current certifications in first aid and CPR are highly preferred
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
