CAD Designer Assistant

Alliance Innovations is a family owned and operated business that is currently seeking a CAD Designer Assistant. We work four 10 hours shifts Monday thru Thursday. We are closed on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Overtime may be scheduled on Fridays per business needs. This is an on-site position.

Purpose of the Role/Role Overview: To assist the CAD Designer in managing the Bill of Materials by creating and editing CAD drawings.

General Duties/Key Responsibilities:

• Clearly communicating with Floor Leads about BOM/Design changes.
• Contacting suppliers to get material information.
• Editing and Creating 3D Drawings using NX by Siemens.
• Modeling 3D parts in CAD softball and/or manipulate and modify data.
• Creating 2D part and assembly drawings in CAD software.
• Creating Bill of Materials.
• Assisting in troubleshooting of performing design reviews and inspections.
• Plotting drawings and distribution.
• Conducting product research
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  

Education/Experience

Associate degree in engineering.

• Minimum of one year to three years of experience in 3D Drawings, Siemens NX preferred. Associate degree in engineering.
• Needs to understand the importance of business acumen and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of mechanical drawings, design concepts and engineering materials (including strength of materials)
• Needs to have experience working with Microsoft Office, especially with Excel and PowerPoint.
  
  

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to go up and down stairs.
• Be able to sit for long periods of time while working on a computer.
• Be able to effectively verbally communicate with others.
• Be able to withstand being in a manufacturing environment.
