What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tooling Crib Technician 1st Shift position at Alliance Innovations LLC?
Alliance Innovations is a family owned and operated business that is currently seeking a Tool Crib Technician for 1st Shift. Starting rate of pay is $18.00/HR. We work four 10 hours shifts Monday thru Thursday. We are closed on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Overtime may be scheduled on Fridays per business needs.
Purpose of the Role/Role Overview:
To provide CNC Operators with tooling designated by the CAM Programmers, which will help streamline and maximize efficiency during the setup process. During down time, may run a CNC machine or set up when business needs allow.
General Duties/Key Responsibilities:
High school diploma or GED.
Previous Experience Dealing With Tooling For CNC Machines, Preferred.
3 Years’ experience with CNC calculations, CAD and CAM software, preferred.
Front Load Forklift Experience, Preferred
Basic math skills required.
Physical Requirements:
Be able to stand for long periods of time on a concrete floor.
Be able to be in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment being exposed to forklift, machining, and potentially other loud noises.
Be able to withstand heat during the use of the heat shrink machine.
Be able to hear and or see the machine alarms with abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Be able to wear all necessary PPE such as steel toed boots, safety glasses, etc.

- Creating tooling for CNC machines using provided Setup/Tool Sheets.
- Utilizing the heat shrink machine to create tools for specific jobs.
- Creating and maintaining tool carts for each job and placing it in a staging area or out to the manufacturing floor.
- Organizing and maintaining cleanliness of the tool room.
- Reviewing blueprints, drawings, specifications prior to start of tooling to ensure accuracy.
- Running CNC/Set up machines in down time as business needs allow.
- Operating a forklift safely and overhead crane while maintaining all safety guidelines.
- Being able to decipher between sharp and dull tooling
- Sharpening Drills as needed
- Working independently with minimal guidance on operational and technical challenges.
- Other duties as assigned.
