Veterinary Technician ($5,000 Sign On Bonus)

Allendale Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced, passionate Veterinary Technician as we expand our team! As a GP technician, you'll play a central role in delivering seamless, empathetic care. You’ll support wellness and sick visits, assist with general surgeries and dental procedures, manage in‑house lab diagnostics and radiology, and ensure smooth in‑house pharmacy and inventory operations.

As a member of the clinical team, in addition to traditional vet tech duties, you will be actively involved in:

• Client education and communication
• Detailed electronic medical record (EMR) documentation
• Diagnostics
• Reviewing medical records and lab work
• Calculating doses for both oral and injectable medications
• Rounds with the doctor for application of clinical knowledge
• Leading appointments (history, TPR, meds)

What We Offer:

• The pay range for this role is: $25-$28/hr. This pay range represents our target hiring range for this role. The proposed pay will be dependent on the candidate's skills, experience, and competencies

Penn Foster: 

Full-time unlicensed Vet Techs in good standing can advance their careers through our fully sponsored Penn Foster Veterinary Technician Degree Program, one of the few AVMA-accredited online programs in the country. We pay for up to four semesters of tuition directly and support you along the way with structured check-ins and flexibility to complete required externships. After graduation, we also cover your VTNE exam and licensure fees, with no post-graduation work commitment required.

What We Require:

• 1-2 years of veterinary technician experience
• Veterinary Technician License or Certification preferred but not required
• Surgical experience 
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Good time management and efficiency with ability to prioritize
• Resourceful problem-solving skills with active recall
• A passion for and commitment to the welfare of animals
