Location: Fort Wayne, IN
Schedule: Full-Time | 3×12 Hour Day Shifts (7a–7p) | Rotating Weekends
Position Overview
Allendale Behavioral Health is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our mental health and psychiatric treatment team. This role provides direct nursing care to adults with mental illness in a safe, structured, and supportive inpatient environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and document patient condition and response to treatment
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and facility protocol
- Communicate effectively with providers, clinical staff, and patients/families
- Maintain accurate documentation in EMR (KIPU experience preferred)
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Title 42 CFR, and nursing regulations
- Respond to medical or behavioral emergencies as needed
- Participate in staff meetings and interdisciplinary collaboration
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current RN license in the State of Indiana
- Experience in mental health, psychiatric, or substance use treatment preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
