Group Therapist / Associate Therapist – Allendale Behavioral Health

Location: Fort Wayne, IN
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week | In person
Setting: Inpatient Mental Health & Psychiatric Treatment

Come join the clinical team at Allendale Behavioral Health and help adults navigate some of life’s toughest challenges. We are seeking a compassionate Group Therapist to provide therapeutic programming for adults receiving inpatient mental health and psychiatric care. You’ll work alongside a collaborative interdisciplinary team to create a safe, supportive environment focused on stabilization, skill-building, and recovery.

What You’ll Do

• Facilitate therapeutic and psychoeducational groups addressing mental health, coping skills, emotional regulation, relationships, and recovery
• Establish rapport with patients and identify individual treatment needs
• Monitor patient participation and progress and communicate observations with the treatment team
• Provide education and therapeutic interventions appropriate to patient needs
• Support patients experiencing emotional or behavioral crises, including suicide risk and self-harm concerns
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, therapists, and behavioral health staff
• Participate in treatment planning, team meetings, and ongoing clinical programming

What We’re Looking For

• Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related behavioral health field
• Active Indiana licensure such as LCSW, LSW, LMHC, LMHCA, LMFT, LMFTA, LCAC, LCACA, or PsyD
• Associate-level clinicians are encouraged to apply. We welcome candidates who are actively working toward independent licensure and committed to obtaining full licensure within a reasonable timeframe
• Experience in mental health, psychiatric, behavioral health, or substance use treatment preferred
• Strong group facilitation, clinical assessment, and crisis intervention skills
• Compassionate, nonjudgmental approach to patient care
• Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills
