Group Therapist – Full-Time
Allendale Treatment
Location: Fort Wayne, IN
Setting: Inpatient Addiction Treatment
Position Overview
Allendale Treatment is seeking a compassionate Group Therapist to provide high-quality therapeutic care to adults with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. This role focuses on facilitating group therapy, supporting patient recovery, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in a structured treatment environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate group therapy sessions addressing addiction, mental health, and co-occurring disorders
- Complete patient assessments and identify treatment needs
- Monitor patient progress and adjust interventions as appropriate
- Respond to crisis situations, including suicide risk assessment and de-escalation
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR (KIPU experience preferred)
- Collaborate with medical, nursing, and behavioral health teams
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Title 42 CFR, and ethical care standards
- Participate in treatment planning and interdisciplinary team meetings
Qualifications
- Master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, addiction studies, or a related behavioral health field
- Current Indiana licensure required, including LCAC, LCACA, LMHC, LMHCA, LMFT, LMFTA, LCSW, LSW, or PsyD
- Associate-level clinicians are encouraged to apply. We welcome candidates who are actively working toward independent licensure and committed to obtaining full licensure within a reasonable timeframe.
- Experience in addiction treatment or mental health preferred
- Strong group facilitation, assessment, and crisis intervention skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- CPR certification required or willingness to obtain

- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced treatment environment
