Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Learn the fundamentals of tool and die maintenance, trouble shooting and die repair
• Read and interpret technical drawings
• Operate and maintain various machines and hand tools used in the trade
• Assist in the manufacturing machining area, press calls and die maintenance
• Inspect finished products and make necessary adjustments to ensure accuracy
• Collaborate with senior tool and die makers to troubleshoot and resolve issues
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
  
  

Requirements

• Trade school certification required
• Basic knowledge of math, including algebra and geometry
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Good dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and mechanical skills
• Willingness to work with heavy machinery and tools
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced tool and die makers, machinist and engineers
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Ability to bend, stoop, lift and move objects, occasionally lifting some objects weighing up to 40 pounds
• Stand on antifatigue matting and walk on concrete continuously throughout a (ten) 10-hour shift
