An established and growing major civil contractor is seeking a Project Manager to join its private site development division in Charlotte, NC.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced civil Project Manager with a background in site development, grading, underground utilities, drainage and earthwork to join a close-knit team delivering high-quality projects across the Charlotte market.
The business is looking for someone who enjoys working collaboratively, takes ownership of projects, and wants to build a long-term career within a company that invests in its people.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage civil site development projects from award through closeout.
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, subcontractors and cost control.
- Coordinate with field teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
- Build strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal teams.
- Review contracts, change orders and project documentation.
- Support Assistant Project Managers while working closely with senior leadership.
- Ensure projects maintain high standards of quality, production and client satisfaction.
What We're Looking For
- Approximately 5 years' experience in civil construction project management.
- Strong background in site development, including Grading, Sitework, Underground utilities, Storm drainage, Earthwork, Water and sewer infrastructure
- Team-oriented individual with a collaborative approach.
- Local or regional experience within the Charlotte market is advantageous.
- Stable employment history with a desire to grow within one organisation.
- Experience in site civil construction is essential; candidates with predominantly vertical construction backgrounds are unlikely to be a fit.
