Pay: $170,000-$210,000
Job Summary
A leading commercial construction company is seeking an experienced Preconstruction Project Manager to join its growing team. This position plays a critical role in the early stages of project development by providing accurate cost analysis, value-driven solutions, and strategic planning that support successful project execution.
The ideal candidate will bring strong estimating expertise, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative approach to working with project stakeholders.
Duties
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and quantity takeoffs for commercial construction projects.
- Develop and present value engineering studies to optimize project costs while maintaining quality and performance.
- Collaborate with internal teams, clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors during the preconstruction process.
- Create and maintain comprehensive CPM project schedules.
- Develop detailed scopes of work and bid packages.
- Conduct field inspections and site evaluations to support project planning and estimating efforts.
- Analyze project documents, specifications, and drawings to identify risks and opportunities.
- Support project teams with preconstruction strategies that enhance efficiency, cost control, and project outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with Sage Estimating software.
- Previous estimating and/or project management experience.
- Experience preparing detailed energy modeling studies.
- Primavera scheduling software experience.
- 5–7 years of estimating experience within the construction industry.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
- Valid driver's license.
