What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Records Clerk position at All’s Well?
We are seeking a detail-oriented and computer-savvy Medical Records Specialist to work fully remote. This role involves contacting healthcare providers to request and obtain medical records and accurately processing them into an electronic medical records system (Athenahealth).
Key Responsibilities
Contact healthcare providers to request medical records
Accurately enter and manage records within Athenahealth (EMR system)
Maintain organized and up-to-date documentation
Ensure timely follow-up on pending record requests
Communicate professionally with providers and internal teams
Support billing and administrative documentation processes as needed
Required Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of experience in Medical Records OR completion of a Medical Records program
Prior experience working with EMR systems
Strong computer skills and ability to work in a digital/remote environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Adobe Acrobat, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual in Spanish (strongly preferred)
Prior experience working with Athenahealth or similar EMR platforms
