Our client is seeking a reliable and motivated Medical Records Specialist to join their team. If you have had exposure to the healthcare industry and medical records and are looking to grow your background in a hospital setting, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities:
- Scanning and uploading paper medical records
- Request and return medical records from/to off-site storage facilities
- Releases protected health information according to Policies and Procedures and State and Federal regulations
- Enter patient demographics/insurance info
- Assist physicians with electronic chart completion
- Answers telephones and direct calls
- Prepares end-of-shift reports using Excel
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1-year experience working in healthcare (may include internships/externships)
- Minimum 2 years customer service experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Computer savvy/quick learner
- EPIC or Meditech experience a plus
