The Opportunity:
The Procurement Specialist III is an important part of the Supply Chain and Procurement team. Working in conjunction with the Director, Supply Chain & Procurement, this role will work closely cross-functional teams across the organization proactively manages the process from sourcing vendors, managing request for proposals to on-going contract management. They will also be responsible for the purchase, registration, and maintenance of vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for supporting the development and implementation of strategies associated with our indirect goods and services.
- Point person for the solicitation and preparation of RFQs, RFPs, and RFIs; work collaboratively to ensure key stakeholders are represented in the process.
- Develop and implement RFP templates, SOP’s and related documentation.
- Price analysis of quotations; cost analysis and negotiation of proposals
- Administer contracts, control costs, and ensure on-time delivery in accordance with requirements.
- Purchase goods or services that meet the quantity and quality expectations of the organization.
- Periodic travel to other APB locations to assist in new warehouse buildouts.
- Maintain ongoing vendor relationships management.
- Provide reports to management on budgeting, schedules, maintenance, and make cost-saving recommendations.
- Develop reporting and tracking to ensure that work processes are efficient and to provide visibility to workload and other requirements.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 5-7 years of experience in procurement of products and service categories for the fiber broadband/ fiber to the home industry.
- Experience with Business Central and/or Sortly is a preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate with vendors and experience with contract review.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite of products including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.
- Experience with an ERP system.
- Strong ability to prioritize and multitask.
- A proactive attitude towards work, teamwork, and cooperation.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or relevant field.
