Position: Child Development Health & Safety Assistant
Job Type: Part-Time
Pay Range: $22.50/hour
Work Location: Los Angeles (Magnolia Place)
Your Superpowers Include
- Implementing the Creative Curriculum within a School Readiness Program for children ages 0-5
- Supporting children's development across all five domains: physical, social-emotional, approaches to learning, language & cognition, and general knowledge
- Partnering with teachers and parents to promote developmentally appropriate learning and school readiness activities at home and in the classroom
- Helping facilitate parent conferences, school readiness events, trainings, and workshops
- Collaborating as a key member of a cohesive Early Childhood Education team
- Supporting classroom operations including attendance tracking, meal counts, and DRDP anecdotal documentation
- Maintaining confidentiality and exercising sound professional judgment in all agency matters
- Communicating effectively and professionally with staff, families, and visitors
- Upholding agency policies, values, and mission while supporting additional duties as assigned
- 12 Early Childhood Education (ECE) units
- A valid Child Development Permit
- 1-2 years of experience working with young children
- Comfort supporting classroom activities and implementing teacher-directed instruction
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish
- General education college units preferred
