A highly respected national law firm is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Minneapolis office.
This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in handling sophisticated, high-stakes litigation, arbitration, and trial matters for national clients across a broad range of industries.
Ideal Background
• 4–5 years of commercial litigation or complex litigation experience, preferably gained at a regional, national, or highly regarded local law firm
• Experience handling sophisticated business disputes and other high-stakes litigation matters
• Significant experience drafting pleadings, dispositive motions, briefs, and other substantive filings in complex litigation matters
• Experience managing e-discovery, fact development, and case strategy
• Experience taking and defending depositions
• Experience appearing in state and federal courts on motions, hearings, and other pre-trial matters
• Experience with arbitration, mediation, and alternative dispute resolution is preferred
• Clerkship or other court experience is a plus
• Strong oral advocacy, legal research, writing, analytical, and strategic thinking skills
• Ability to independently analyze and solve complex factual, legal, and business issues
• Excellent academic credentials
• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required
• Minnesota bar admission required or ability to become admitted
