Alexander Technology Group is seeking a Desktop Support Specialist for a client north of Boston. The Desktop Support Specialist is a highly visible, hands-on role responsible for delivering white-glove, onsite end-user support across the organization. This individual ensures employees have the tools, access, and systems needed to operate efficiently in a fast-moving environment.
The role supports a Microsoft-centric ecosystem, manages endpoint devices, reinforces security best practices, and continuously improves IT processes and overall user experience. This position requires onsite presence five days per week.

Pay Range: $30-40/hr

Responsibilities
- Provide support for Windows and MacOS as well as mobile devices.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues
- Support Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint)
- Assist with endpoint management using Entra ID and Intune
- Provision, image, deploy, and decommission laptops and peripherals
- Support AV equipment for meetings and company events
- Track IT assets and maintain accurate inventory and documentation
- Follow and reinforce IT security, access controls, and data protection standards
- Document procedures, troubleshooting steps, and knowledge base articles
- Partner with IT leadership on system improvements and operational projects
- 3 years of hands-on desktop / IT support experience
- Strong experience supporting Windows and Microsoft 365 environments
- Familiarity with Entra ID, Intune, endpoint management, and ticketing systems
- Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (VPN, TCP/IP, Wi-Fi)
- Strong customer service mindset with clear, professional communication
