Cloud Database Engineer (Remote | Contract Through End of Year | Extension Possible)

We're seeking a Cloud Database Engineer / Modern DBA to support a growing Data Engineering team. This is not a traditional DBA role—we're looking for someone with a modern, automation-first mindset who enjoys improving cloud database environments through engineering best practices.

This is a fully remote contract opportunity through the end of the year with potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and optimize cloud-based database environments
• Perform query optimization and performance tuning
• Manage Snowflake security roles and permissions
• Automate database administration tasks and operational processes
• Collaborate closely with Data Engineering to improve scalability, reliability, and efficiency
  
  

Required Skills

• Strong cloud database administration experience
• Expertise in query optimization and performance tuning
• Experience managing Snowflake environments
• Strong DBA fundamentals with a modern engineering approach
