Private Equity Associate – Industrials
Location: Dallas, TX (on-site; strong ties to the area preferred)
Overview:
We’re looking for an Associate to join a growing private equity team focused on industrials. The group invests across lower middle-market and middle-market businesses and is active on both new deals and portfolio work. Ideal background is investment banking (industrials preferred), with strong modeling and execution skills.
What You’ll Do:
- Support full deal process - modeling, diligence, drafting materials, coordinating with bankers/consultants, and helping drive transactions across the finish line.
- Build industry and company-level analyses across core industrial subsectors (manufacturing, distribution, specialty services, etc.).
- Work closely with management teams on reporting, metrics, and value-creation projects.
- Participate in sourcing efforts through outreach, conferences, and relationship-building in the Texas/Southern U.S. industrials network.
- Take on meaningful work from day one within a lean team.
What They’re Looking For
- 2-3 years of investment banking experience (ideally industrials or related coverage; M&A also considered).
- Strong financial modeling skills, comfort owning workstreams, and ability to juggle multiple projects.
- Someone who’s proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a smaller, high-accountability environment.
- Ties to Dallas/Texas or genuine interest in relocating long-term.
- Solid communication skills and ability to work directly with senior leadership, founders, and operators.
