Private Equity Associate, Generalist

A leading middle-market private equity firm is seeking to add an Associate to its investment team in New York. The firm manages several billion dollars of capital and has built a strong track record investing in high-quality businesses across sectors including healthcare, business services, and industrials.

This role offers the opportunity to work alongside senior investment professionals throughout the entire investment lifecycle, from sourcing and evaluating new opportunities to executing transactions and supporting portfolio company value creation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and execute private equity investments across healthcare, business services, and industrial sectors
• Perform detailed financial modeling, valuation analysis, and industry research
• Participate in due diligence processes, including coordination with management teams, lenders, consultants, and advisors
• Prepare investment committee materials and present findings to senior team members
• Monitor portfolio company performance and support strategic initiatives alongside management teams
• Assist with transaction execution, financing processes, and exit planning

Ideal Background:

• 2 years of investment banking experience at a top-tier platform
• Sector experience in healthcare, business services, or industrials preferred
• Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skill set
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptional attention to detail and communication skills
• Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record
