Working with an established real estate debt platform seeking a Senior Analyst to join their California team, focused on multifamily investments across acquisitions and asset management. This role sits at the intersection of underwriting, investment execution, and portfolio management, providing broad exposure to the full investment lifecycle within a dynamic and growing platform.
Qualifications
- 3-4 years of experience in real estate finance, investment banking, private credit, or commercial real estate investment/asset management
- Strong financial modeling skills, including proficiency in Excel (Argus experience a plus)
- Solid understanding of multifamily underwriting, valuation, and credit structures
- Experience analyzing property-level financial statements, rent rolls, and operating statements
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing investment materials
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or related field
- Demonstrated interest in real estate credit and investment strategy
Key Responsibilities
- Support underwriting and execution of multifamily credit investments, including senior loans, bridge financing, and structured credit opportunities
- Build and maintain detailed financial models for acquisitions, refinancings, and asset-level performance forecasting
- Conduct in-depth due diligence on multifamily assets, including market analysis, rent comps, operating performance, and sponsor evaluation
- Assist in preparing investment committee memos and presentation materials for new acquisitions and asset management initiatives
- Monitor ongoing portfolio performance, including borrower reporting, covenant compliance, and risk tracking
- Partner with asset management teams to implement value-add strategies and identify opportunities to enhance returns or mitigate risk
- Assist with loan modifications, workouts, and restructuring scenarios as need
- Track broader multifamily market trends, capital markets conditions, and comparable transactions
