The HR Director serves as a key advisor to County leadership, supporting a workforce of over 1,000 employees, facilitating and promoting a positive workplace culture, and ensuring Alamance County implements best practices in the management of human resources.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:

- 5-8 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3-5 years in HR leadership or management roles.
- Thorough knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and local government operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in HR Management, Public Administration, or Business Administration.
- Professional HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR, IPMA-CP/SCP).
- Experience in local government HR administration with a focus on employee relations and policy development.
- Experience with a variety of Human Resources Management Systems.
