The Director of Alumni Relations is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive alumni engagement strategy that strengthens lifelong relationships between Alabama State University and its alumni. This role enhances alumni pride, participation, and philanthropic support while advancing the University’s mission, visibility, and strategic goals.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute alumni engagement initiatives, including events, reunions, and regional programming
- Strengthen connections with diverse alumni populations
- Oversee signature alumni events such as Homecoming and alumni weekends
- Create and implement a strategic alumni relations plan
- Develop communication strategies across digital platforms
- Collaborate with development staff to support fundraising efforts
- Manage alumni chapters and volunteer leadership
- Foster student-to-alumni engagement programs
