Job Summary:
We are seeking a proficient Agile Scrum Master to guide our IT software development teams through all Agile ceremonies with a focus on efficiency and continuous improvement. The role involves protecting the team from disturbances, actively managing team workload and dependencies, and enhancing team agility and sprint health. This position requires a hands-on approach to facilitating daily scrums, sprint planning, and retrospectives, ensuring adherence to Agile/Scrum practices and effective delivery of project objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate and lead the team through all agile ceremonies, including daily scrums, sprint demos, and planning sessions.
- Coach the team on Agile/Scrum practices, instill an inspect & adapt culture, and proactively remove impediments to team agility.
- Manage team workload and negotiate priorities with managers or Product Management as needed.
- Oversee dependencies across other Agile teams and collaborate with other scrum masters and Program Manager/RTE.
- Own the Jira project for the team, managing all issues and utilizing metrics to assess team health and identify improvement opportunities.
- Experience as a Scrum Master in an IT or software development setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Must hold PMI-ACP, CSM, or equivalent certification.
