What are the responsibilities and job description for the Research And Development Technician position at Akkodis?
Akkodis is seeking a R&D Technician III role is a 12 Months Contract with a client located in Santa Clarita, CA.
Pay Range: $34-$44/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop concepts and accordingly construct prototypes/products from concepts.
2. Utilize basic mechanical drawing or CAD software (SolidWorks) to document prototypes and fixtures.
3. Explore and propose creative solutions based on solid rationales and contribute to design and process concepts.
4. Organize, coordinate, and execute building and testing of prototypes/products per engineering instructions.
5. Assist project teams in establishing specifications and quality standards.
6. Use internal resources and qualified external vendors to assist engineering teams to identify and obtain supplies and services.
7. Act as a resource to other employees.
8. Communicate project status to project teams.
Quality Systems Duties and Responsibilities:
Build Quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements.
Qualifications:
AA Degree or equivalent work experience in related discipline and 3 years of related experience.
basic assembly experience
cables, fixtures
electrical capabilities
Attention to detail
SolidWorks experience is preferred
experience reading schematics, is preferred
