Infrastructure Architect

Akkodis is seeking an Infrastructure Architect for a 7 month contract position. This is a 100% Remote.

Rate Range: $70/hr. to $75/hr. (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT Architect to lead DevSecOps, cloud infrastructure, and deployment strategies across our Microsoft-centric technology environment (IT and OT). Ensure the platform, deployment processes, tooling, and automation ecosystem are secure, compliant, resilient, and scalable. Drive DevSecOps maturity, environmental modernization, cloud migration, and security-by-design. Leverage AI to accelerate automation, observability, and operational intelligence. The ideal candidate will have strong architecture expertise in Microsoft Azure, C#/.NET, and cloud-native engineering patterns.

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to influence engineering and security teams and drive architectural decision-making.
• Extensive experience architecting resilient cloud solutions using Azure App Services, Azure Functions, AKS, API Management, Service Bus, and other PaaS components.
• Strong understanding of DevSecOps principles, cloud security patterns, and supply chain security.
• Proficiency with C#/.NET, Terraform/Bicep, SQL, and modern cloud-native development practices.
• Proficiency with DVCS such as GitHub, GitLab, and building automated CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred Microsoft Certifications

• Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
• DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400)
• Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
• Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204)

Key Responsibilities

Architectural Leadership & Platform Strategy

• Own and guide architecture for delivery platforms, pipelines, environment provisioning, and infrastructure components.
• Define scalable, secure, maintainable platform architectures aligned with enterprise DevSecOps and cloud standards.
• Lead Azure migration execution paths for legacy on-prem environments, applying IaC, and cloud-native patterns.
• Perform platform-level architectural assessments and modernization roadmaps for IT/OT infrastructure and deployment ecosystems.
• Align platform architecture with enterprise reference models, governance, and security frameworks.

DevSecOps & Delivery Engineering Leadership

• Provide architectural oversight for CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, IaC, and environment lifecycle management.
• Embed security and compliance controls into pipelines, championing “shift-left” security and automated guardrails.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity and SecOps teams to align toolchains, vulnerability management processes, and compliance standards.
• Guide adoption of DevSecOps metrics and KPIs across delivery speed, quality, security posture, and operational performance.
• Advance DevSecOps maturity across teams, improving automation, reliability, and deployment efficiency.
• Provide technical mentorship and training on DevSecOps, automation, cloud, and platform standards.
• Guide the adoption of AI-driven automation for pipelines, deployments, infrastructure monitoring, and compliance validation.
• Evaluate and lead POCs for AI-enabled tooling supporting observability, remediation, configuration management, and operational analytics.
