Akkodis is seeking a System Administrator for a Contract with a client in Seattle, WA. The ideal candidate will design reliable automation workflows and develop microservices that streamline incident intelligence and operational efficiency.
Rate Range: $53/hour to $58/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
System Administrator Job Responsibilities Include
Pay Details: $53.00 to $58.00 per hour

System Administrator Job Responsibilities Include
- Build end‑to‑end API integrations across Meraki, Datadog, PagerDuty, and ServiceNow to support event‑driven automation workflows.
- Develop Python-based microservices for event ingestion, filtering, enrichment, correlation, retries, and idempotent processing.
- Configure and optimize Datadog monitors, pipelines, event processors, and routing logic to improve observability.
- Implement PagerDuty automation, including event rules, routing rules, service integrations, and escalation paths.
- Create and maintain ServiceNow integrations for Incident and CMDB workflows using Table API, Import Sets, Transform Maps, and Scripted REST.
- Ensure operational reliability through SLOs, dashboards, logs, alerts, and ongoing pipeline health checks.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8–12 years of hands‑on experience in automation engineering, API integrations, or related roles.
- Strong proficiency in Python development with deep experience in REST API integrations across Meraki, Datadog, PagerDuty, and ServiceNow.
- Proven expertise in building event‑driven automation workflows, including idempotency, retry/backoff logic, rate‑limit handling, and observability best practices.
