Sr Cloud Architect

Akkodis is seeking an Sr Cloud Architect for a Contract with a client in Holtsville NY. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing secure, highly available, and scalable cloud and hybrid architectures using modern networking, containerization, and infrastructure‑as‑code practices.

Rate Range: $55/hour to $60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Sr Cloud Architect Job Responsibilities Include

• Design, architect, and implement scalable, secure, and highly available cloud and hybrid solutions across GCP, AWS, or Azure environments.
• Lead cloud networking architecture, including VPC/VNET design, routing, load balancing, VPNs, and secure connectivity.
• Drive containerized and orchestrated platform design using Docker and Kubernetes for large‑scale, fault‑tolerant systems.
• Define and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates for consistent deployments.
• Implement identity, access management, monitoring, logging, and observability best practices across cloud platforms.
• Champion DevOps and DevSecOps practices, ensuring automation, security, and compliance throughout the cloud lifecycle.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline (master’s degree preferred).
• 10 years of overall IT experience with deep hands-on expertise in cloud architecture and operations.
• Strong experience designing and implementing cloud solutions on GCP (preferred), AWS, or Azure, including networking, security, and high-availability architectures.
• Proven knowledge of DevOps and DevSecOps practices, including Infrastructure as Code, container orchestration, monitoring, and identity/access management.

Pay Details: $55.00 to $60.00 per hour
