Akkodis is recruiting for a Sr DevOps Engineer for a client in the Warren, MI area. This is an onsite contract position with a pay range of $45 an hour to $55 an hour depending on education, experience and location.
You will lead the design, integration, and optimization of continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines that support advanced AI, robotics, and simulation projects. You will develop frameworks for automated build, test, and deployment cycles, ensuring innovations can be validated and scaled in realistic workflows. You will serve as the convergence point where development, testing, and deployment processes are unified into reproducible, production-relevant systems.
Pay Details: $45.00 to $55.00 per hour

Requirements

You will develop frameworks for automated build, test, and deployment cycles, ensuring innovations can be validated and scaled in realistic workflows. You will serve as the convergence point where development, testing, and deployment processes are unified into reproducible, production-relevant systems.
- Lead integration of CI/CD pipelines across robotics, AI, and simulation software stacks.
- Develop and maintain frameworks for automated build, test, and deployment cycles.
- Ensure innovations are validated under realistic, production-relevant workflows.
- Collaborate closely with Robotics Intelligence, AI & Simulation, Controls, and Hardware teams.
- Manage deployment readiness, debugging, and performance validation of prototype systems.
- Define CI/CD best practices, documentation standards, and reproducible processes.
- Support end-to-end readiness for internal demonstrations and technology down-selection.
- 5 years of experience in CI/CD engineering, DevOps, or systems integration.
- Strong background in automation frameworks, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and cloud-native deployment.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, software engineering, or related field.
- Excellent system-level debugging, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible) and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Superset).
- Demonstrated success deploying and scaling CI/CD pipelines in complex environments.
- Understanding of industrial compliance standards, cybersecurity practices, and risk-mitigation strategies.
