Akkodis is seeking a Developer for a Contract with a client in Plano, TX. This role leads end‑to‑end microservice development while driving integration across AWS, Kafka, and CI/CD platforms.
Rate Range: $53/hour to $56/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Developer Job Responsibilities Include
- Lead the design and development of scalable Java and Spring Boot–based microservices, ensuring seamless integration with AWS, Kafka, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Coordinate with UI and backend teams to deliver end-to-end solutions while overseeing testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
- Define architectural approaches, data models, and API integrations—including gateways such as MuleSoft—and ensure secure implementations using OAuth/SSO.
- Collaborate with clients to design customer journeys and manage technical delivery across multi-year programs, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Drive Agile ceremonies, enforce workflow processes, and proactively identify risks, recommending and executing mitigation strategies.
- Act as a technical lead, guiding cross-functional teams, managing stakeholder communication, and ensuring high-quality deliverables in a continuous delivery environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of hands‑on experience in software development and cloud-native architectures.
- Ability to work directly with clients to design customer journeys and define associated data models.
- Strong expertise in Agile delivery—leading Scrum ceremonies, enforcing processes, and proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
