Senior Data Scientist

Akkodis is seeking a Senior Data Scientist for a Contract with a client in Tampa, FL. The candidate must have strong hands‑on expertise in predictive analytics and applied AI/ML to design, deploy, and optimize high‑impact models while mentoring junior data scientists.

Rate Range: 45/hour to $47/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Senior Data Scientist Job Responsibilities Include

• Lead complex data analysis initiatives to generate strategic insights and present clear, data‑driven recommendations through effective visualizations.
• Design, build, and deploy advanced machine‑learning and statistical models to solve complex business problems using large‑scale datasets.
• Drive Generative AI and NLP solutions by developing and fine‑tuning LLMs, implementing RAG frameworks, and applying advanced prompting strategies.
• Apply deep‑learning techniques to deliver high‑accuracy predictive and intelligent systems.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions while collaborating closely with cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Mentor junior data scientists, conduct technical reviews, and promote best practices in model development and deployment.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 4–6 years of hands‑on experience in data science, machine learning, and applied AI solutions.
• Strong expertise in ML predictive analytics, statistical modelling, and end‑to‑end model development using Python and related frameworks.
• heaving practical experience in NLP and Generative AI with the ability to translate business needs into scalable AI solutions.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $47.00 per hour
