Robotic Automation Developer

Akkodis is seeking a Robotic Automation Developer for a Contract with a client in Austin, TX. This role requires deep expertise in developing advanced robotic simulation platforms that integrate robotics, AI, PLC logic, and large‑scale multi‑robot environments.

Rate Range: $41/hour to $49/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Robotic Automation Developer Job Responsibilities Include

• Develop and implement physics‑based simulations for Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) and collaborative robot cells, ensuring realistic sensor and actuator behavior.
• Conduct simulation‑in‑the‑loop testing to validate autonomy, perception, and control algorithms across large‑scale multi‑robot environments.
• Create reusable abstractions for robot hardware, sensors, and PLC logic, enabling consistent and modular simulation components.
• Design and manage scalable simulation execution pipelines, supporting engineering validation, regression testing, and complex scenario evaluations.
• Build and maintain a robust, reusable simulation platform, aligning with organizational long‑term technology strategies and extensibility needs.
• Integrate diverse APIs, data formats, and multi‑GPU infrastructure to enable high‑performance, high‑fidelity simulations for engineering teams.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science, AI, Robotics, or a related field.
• 4–6 years of experience in advanced robotics and simulation development.
• Proven expertise in developing large‑scale robotic simulation platforms integrating robotics, AI, PLC logic, and multi‑robot environments.
• Strong experience with physics‑based simulation tools, ROS2 integrations, multi‑GPU simulation deployments, and scenario‑based testing frameworks.

Pay Details: $41.00 to $49.00 per hour
