QA Automation Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a QA Automation Engineer for a Contract with a client in Phoenix, AZ. Candidates must be Skilled in designing scalable automation frameworks, executing data‑driven and cross‑browser testing, and delivering robust solutions within Agile environments.

Rate Range: $37/hour to $41/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

QA Automation Engineer Job Responsibilities Include

• Develop and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Java, Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber, and Rest Assured for UI and API testing.
• Design and execute BDD-based test scenarios in collaboration with development teams using Cucumber and Gherkin.
• Implement and run end‑to‑end automated test suites, integrating them with CI/CD pipelines for continuous delivery.
• Perform data‑driven, cross‑browser, and parallel test execution using Selenium, Maven, and TestNG.
• Review business and technical requirements to create detailed test plans, test strategies, and acceptance criteria.
• Document test results, prepare defect reports, and provide clear testing metrics and updates to stakeholders.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 4–6 years of hands‑on experience in QA Automation using Java, Selenium, Cucumber, and API automation tools.
• Strong expertise in BDD frameworks and end‑to‑end automation design within Agile/Scrum environments.
• Proven experience in API testing using Rest Assured/Postman and integrating automated tests within CI/CD pipelines.

Pay Details: $37.00 to $41.00 per hour
