Akkodis is seeking a Network SME Engineer for a Contract with a client in Alpharetta, GA/ New York City, NY. This role requires hands‑on expertise in BGP/OSPF troubleshooting and overseeing end‑to‑end network communication and migration activities.
Rate Range: $80/hour to $83/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Pay Details: $80.00 to $83.00 per hour

Requirements

Network SME Engineer Job Responsibilities Include
- Design and implement advanced Campus, Data Center, and Cloud network solutions leveraging IPV4/IPV6 architectures.
- Troubleshoot complex routing and switching issues involving BGP, OSPF, multicast, and overlay technologies across multi‑vendor platforms.
- Analyze communication scenarios between end and edge devices and lead testing for data gathering, aggregation, and analytics workflows.
- Drive large‑scale network migrations, ensuring minimal downtime and seamless integration of new technologies.
- Provide expert guidance on Cisco platforms (ISR/ASR/Catalyst/Nexus) and maintain high‑availability network performance.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to enhance network security and authentication mechanisms using Cisco ISE, TACACS, and related services.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 12 years of hands‑on experience in enterprise networking environments.
- Mandatory Cisco CCIE Lab Certification in Routing & Switching or Service Provider.
- Deep expertise in advanced routing and switching, including strong proficiency in BGP, OSPF, IPV4/IPV6, and complex network troubleshooting.
