Akkodis is seeking a Lead Linux Administrator for a Contract with a client in Bellevue, WA. You will lead the administration and automation of Linux-based infrastructure supporting HPC and semiconductor workloads, while optimizing performance and reliability.
Rate Range: $50/hour to $53/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Lead Linux Administrator Job Responsibilities Include
Pay Details: $50.00 to $53.00 per hour

Lead Linux Administrator Job Responsibilities Include
- Lead administration and optimization of Linux-based infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance for HPC and semiconductor workloads.
- Manage and maintain HPC clusters and job schedulers, including troubleshooting and performance tuning.
- Implement automation and infrastructure-as-code practices, leveraging tools like Git, CI/CD pipelines, and scripting (Python, Bash).
- Collaborate with architecture and cloud teams to integrate hybrid cloud solutions, primarily Azure, into existing Linux environments.
- Monitor system performance and capacity, proactively identifying and resolving issues to maintain reliability.
- Ensure security and compliance across Linux systems, applying best practices for patching, access control, and vulnerability management.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 8–10 years in Linux system administration, with leadership experience in HPC or semiconductor environments.
- Strong expertise in HPC clusters, job schedulers, and hybrid cloud integration (Azure).
- Advanced scripting skills in Python and Bash, with hands-on experience in Git, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code tools.
