Akkodis is seeking a Java QA for a Contract with a client in Austin, TX. The candidate ensures maximum automation coverage across UI and API layers while building robust TestNG/Maven test suites and monitoring failures to maintain product quality.
Rate Range: $56/hour to $58/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Java QA Job Responsibilities Include
Pay Details: $56.00 to $58.00 per hour

Requirements

Java QA Job Responsibilities Include
- Design and develop automation test cases using Core Java, Selenium, RestAssured, and TestNG/Maven to ensure strong UI and API test coverage.
- Build and maintain automation jobs, analyze failures, and log defects to support continuous quality improvement.
- Create detailed test plans, scripts, and documentation while ensuring alignment with functional requirements.
- Utilize SQL/NoSQL databases, Postman, Git, and related tools to validate data, troubleshoot issues, and support end‑to‑end testing.
- Monitor and report daily QA status to stakeholders, highlighting product quality, risks, and progress.
- Maintain and update project knowledge bases to support consistent documentation and smooth feature onboarding.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 6–10 years of hands‑on experience in Java-based QA automation.
- Strong proficiency in Core Java, Selenium, RestAssured, and TestNG/Maven for end‑to‑end automation.
- Expertise in SQL/NoSQL databases, API testing, defect management tools, and daily QA reporting.
