Data Scientist

Akkodis is seeking a Data Scientist for a Contract with a client in Indianapolis, IN. You will build end‑to‑end ML pipelines and configure Databricks Genie to enable natural language–driven insights.

Rate Range: $53/hour to $60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Data Scientist Job Responsibilities Include

• Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models using Databricks (MLflow, Spark ML, Python) and manage end‑to‑end ML pipelines.
• Leverage the Databricks Lakehouse (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog) to build scalable, governed, and high‑quality data solutions.
• Configure and optimize Databricks Genie to enable natural language–driven self‑service analytics for business users.
• Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure reliable data ingestion, transformation, and performance‑optimized Spark jobs.
• Create semantic layers and curated datasets to support advanced analytics, AI/BI workloads, and natural language querying.
• Partner with business stakeholders to translate analytical needs into actionable insights and communicate complex results clearly.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4 years of experience in data science, advanced analytics, or machine learning (10 years total experience preferred per client need).
• Strong hands‑on expertise with Databricks, Apache Spark, and Lakehouse architecture (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog).
• Proficiency in Python and AWS, with proven experience building and deploying production‑ready ML models using MLflow.

Pay Details: $53.00 to $60.00 per hour
