Akkodis is seeking a Java Lead for a Contract with a client in San Antonio, TX. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot; the candidate must be able to draft scalable architecture while developing high‑quality RESTful microservices and collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
Rate Range: $45/hour to $53/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Java Lead Job Responsibilities Include
Pay Details: $45.00 to $53.00 per hour

Requirements

Java Lead Job Responsibilities Include
- Lead the design and development of scalable Java‑based applications using Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture.
- Draft technical architecture, prepare presentation decks, and effectively articulate solutions in client‑facing discussions.
- Collaborate with onshore/offshore teams to deliver high‑quality features within Agile/Scrum frameworks.
- Develop and integrate AWS services (Lambda, EKS, S3, RDS/Aurora) while ensuring robust API/UI testing and performance standards.
- Oversee code quality, CI/CD pipeline usage, and DevOps best practices using GitLab, JFrog, Ralph, and related tools.
- Monitor application performance using Datadog, Grafana, ELK, or Splunk and resolve technical issues proactively.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 8–10 years of hands‑on experience in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and modern web application development.
- Strong ability to draft application architecture, present technical solutions, and communicate effectively in customer-facing environments.
- Proven experience working in Agile (preferably Scaled Agile) and collaborating across onshore/offshore teams to deliver high‑quality solutions.
