Front-End Software Development Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Front-End Software Development Engineer for a Contract with a client in Dearborn, MI (Hybrid). The candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining high‑performance, scalable React and TypeScript applications with a strong focus on user experience and long‑term application health.

Rate Range: $55/hour to $60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Front-End Software Development Engineer Job Responsibilities Include

• Design, develop, and maintain high‑performance, scalable frontend applications using React, TypeScript, and modern web technologies.
• Lead end‑to‑end frontend engineering across the full software lifecycle, ensuring alignment with architecture standards and business requirements.
• Implement Test‑Driven Development (TDD), automated UI and performance testing, and ensure high code quality and reliability.
• Optimize application performance through proactive monitoring, instrumentation, and use of observability tools such as Grafana, Splunk, and GCP.
• Collaborate closely with designers, backend engineers, and product stakeholders in an Agile environment using pairing and mobbing practices.
• Create and refine responsive, accessible, and SEO‑compliant user interfaces while contributing to design reviews, prototypes, and reusable component libraries.
  
  

Required Qualifications: GCP (Google Cloud Platform) experience or knowledge required for this role.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in frontend web development building large‑scale applications.
• Expert‑level proficiency in React, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS/SCSS with strong experience in automated UI and performance testing frameworks.
• Demonstrated experience with observability, instrumentation, and monitoring tools (Grafana, Splunk, GCP), along with strong Agile, TDD, and collaborative development practices.

Pay Details: $55.00 to $60.00 per hour
