Engineer

Akkodis is seeking an Engineer for a Contract with a client in Princeton, NJ. The candidate will require strong SQL expertise to design and execute test scenarios across pipeline layers while ensuring data quality, accuracy, and business usability in Agile teams.

Rate Range: $41/hour to $43/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Engineer Job Responsibilities Include

• Perform end-to-end QA testing of ETL and data pipelines, validating data across source, staging, and target layers in data warehouse and data lake environments.
• Analyze requirements and design specifications to create comprehensive test scenarios and test cases across multiple stages of data processing.
• Validate data quality, completeness, accuracy, and reconciliation using strong SQL and PL/SQL skills.
• Execute data validation testing for complex transformations, aggregations, and business rules within ETL workflows.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders in Agile teams to ensure data meets business and reporting needs.
• Support testing in modern data platforms such as Databricks Delta Lake and contribute to continuous improvement of data QA processes and standards.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 8–10 years of experience in ETL / Data Pipeline QA testing within data warehouse and data lake environments.
• Strong proficiency in SQL / PL‑SQL with proven ability to validate complex data transformations and data quality rules.
• Experience working in Agile delivery teams, with strong communication skills and a clear understanding of data quality’s impact on business outcomes.

Pay Details: $41.00 to $43.00 per hour
