Engineer

Akkodis is seeking an Engineer for a Contract with a client in Plano, TX. Candidate must have deep hands-on expertise in Gen AI prompt engineering, LLM integrations, Agentic AI, and Model Context Protocol.

Rate Range: $41/hour to $56/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Engineer Job Responsibilities Include

• Design and refine advanced prompt strategies, templates, and chains to maximize LLM accuracy, reliability, and controllability.
• Architect and implement agentic workflows that plan, call tools/APIs, and orchestrate multi-step reasoning across connected LLMs.
• Integrate and govern model connections using Model Context Protocol (MCP) to standardize tools, retrieval, and context injection.
• Build and optimize retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines with robust context curation, grounding, and latency tuning.
• Establish and monitor evaluation frameworks (human-in-the-loop, automated tests, guardrails) for safety, bias, and quality.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business use cases into scalable GenAI services with observability, versioning, and rollbacks.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, AI/ML, Data Science, or a closely related field.
• 10 years of relevant experience in AI/GenAI with hands-on prompt engineering and LLM orchestration.
• Requires proven expertise in connecting LLMs, building agentic AI workflows, and applying Model Context Protocol (MCP).
• Requires demonstrable delivery of production-grade GenAI solutions with robust evaluation, safety guardrails, and observability.

Pay Details: $41.00 to $56.00 per hour
