Akkodis is seeking an Electrical Engineer for a Contract to Hire with a client in Irvine, CA. The ideal candidate is supporting rapid build, bring‑up, and testing of new concept test beds involving optics, electronics, and simple fluidics.
Rate Range: $50/hour to $60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Pay Details: $50.00 to $60.00 per hour

Requirements

Electrical Engineer Job Responsibilities Include
- Assemble, wire, and bring up prototype test beds involving optics (cameras, LEDs, photodiodes) and simple fluidics systems.
- Build and modify microprocessor‑based systems using Raspberry Pi, Arduino, BeagleBone, or ARM controllers.
- Use hand tools to source parts, fabricate mechanical assemblies, and support rapid prototype iterations.
- Write and execute basic code in C or Python to control hardware and run experiments.
- Troubleshoot hardware and electronics issues at the component level, including analog and digital circuits.
- Design, execute, and document experiments to validate concepts and test hypotheses efficiently.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
- 2–5 years of hands‑on experience in prototype development, hardware testing, or lab engineering roles.
- Strong practical experience with microprocessor‑based systems (Raspberry Pi, Arduino, BeagleBone/ARM controllers) and basic analog/digital circuit design.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude with hands‑on use of tools, ability to build and troubleshoot prototypes involving optics and simple fluidics, and basic coding skills in C or Python.
Pay Details: $50.00 to $60.00 per hour
